St Clements Alley

One of the most simple types of street signs in England, this one of St Clements Alley in Norwich. Seen here against a wall of flint stone, which is typical for this area.
There are a few saints called Saint Clement, but I am going to guess here that it refers to Pope Clement I, who is considered the patron saint of metalworkers and blacksmiths. Or does it refer to something completely different?
